A Trusted Electrical Brand Facing a Counterfeiting Crisis

Sturlite is one of India's established electrical goods manufacturers, with over 16 years of operation and a product portfolio spanning 100+ categories, from wiring accessories and switchgear to lighting and industrial components. Their products reach households and large infrastructure projects across the country through a dealer network of more than 14,000 points.

That scale also made Sturlite a prime target for counterfeiters. Fake products using the Sturlite name were appearing in markets across India, reaching end users who had no way to distinguish genuine products from imitations. When a fake product failed, the brand took the damage.

Beyond the counterfeiting problem, Sturlite had no direct relationship with the consumers who bought their products at dealer shops.
