Each QR code encodes a unique cryptographic identifier that is registered to a single packet in the Acviss system. Copying the visual QR onto a fake packet does not replicate the cryptographic credential. When a farmer scans a copied QR, the system detects that the code has already been scanned at a different location or time and returns a warning. Your brand protection team also gets an alert flagging the suspicious scan pattern. The underlying security is in the digital identity, not just the printed code.
Each packet's digital identity can carry variety name and registration number, production lot and batch, germination percentage from the certified test, date of packing, production plant code, certification agency tag reference, and authorised market or geography. Your team configures which fields are visible to farmers versus which are internal-only. The record is immutable once created, so nobody downstream in the distribution chain can alter the certified germination figure.
The primary verification path requires a data connection because the scan queries the Acviss authentication server. In areas with weak connectivity, the scan page is optimised for low-bandwidth 2G and 3G connections and loads quickly. For areas with no connectivity, an SMS verification option can be configured where the farmer texts a code and receives a reply. Your implementation manager will assess network conditions in your key markets during the onboarding process and recommend the right verification modes.
Origin has an API layer that can receive certification data from agency systems or accept data imports in standard CSV and XML formats used by major state seed certification agencies. When a certification tag is issued, the lot record in Origin is updated to reflect the certified status. If a lot is ever recalled or flagged by the agency, Origin propagates that status update to every packet in the lot so that downstream scans reflect the current certification position. This keeps your digital record in sync with the official agency record.
Yes. Origin maintains the scan history of every packet in a lot regardless of where it is in the distribution chain. If a quality issue is identified after distribution, your team can flag the lot in Origin and all subsequent scans of packets from that lot will return a product advisory or recall notice to the farmer. Distributors and retailers who have the Origin distributor app also receive a push notification. The system does not require you to physically locate the packets; it flags them at the point of the next consumer interaction.
