Grade Misrepresentation: BWP vs MR

MR-grade plywood is sold as BWP or Marine grade at a price premium. The contractor installs it. The structure shows delamination within a year. Your brand name is on the sheet. The claim comes to you.

Fake ISI Marks

INDIA BIS IS 303 and IS 710: Plywood Specification

IS 303 governs commercial plywood and IS 710 governs marine plywood. BIS certification requires each batch to meet defined mechanical, bonding, and moisture resistance specifications. Licence holders must maintain batch-level QC records and make them available to BIS inspectors on demand. Selling product with false BIS marks is an offence under the BIS Act 2016.

USA CARB Phase 2: California Air Resources Board
