Yes. The QR code from Certify is verified using any smartphone camera with no app download required. The recipient scans the QR, and the verification result appears in their phone browser within two seconds. Phantom Code verification requires the Acviss verification app, which is a lightweight download available on both Android and iOS. For procurement officers who verify high volumes of documents, a desktop browser verification tool is also available. Your department decides which verification method is appropriate for each document type and configures the verification experience accordingly.
Your document administrator logs into the Certify dashboard and marks the specific document's QR identity as revoked. From the moment of revocation, any scan of that document's QR returns a clear revocation notice to the verifier, showing the date of revocation and the reason if you choose to include one. The revocation takes effect in real time, globally, across all verification channels. You do not need to physically collect or destroy the document for it to stop passing verification. No changes are required to the document's visual design. For departments using DigiLocker, e-Office, or NIC platforms, integration pathways are available. Phantom Code operates as a separate print-time layer and connects to Certify's document registry via the same API. Yes. For digital documents such as PDFs, e-certificates, and electronically issued licences, Certify embeds a verifiable QR directly into the document file. When a recipient prints or shares the digital document, the embedded QR remains functional. The verification process is identical to physical documents. Phantom Code in its physical form is specific to printed substrates, but digital documents can be protected using Certify's cryptographic document fingerprinting feature, which detects if the digital file has been altered since it was issued by your department.
