K-Kisan
What is K-Kisan
KKisan, short for ‘Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan’, is a government initiative in India aimed at empowering farmers through the use of technology and digital platforms. Launched under the Digital India program, K-Kisan leverages information and communication technology to provide farmers with crucial agricultural information, weather forecasts, market prices, and expert advice directly to their smartphones.
Empowering Farmers
Rural Development
One of the key objectives of the KKisan and Farm Mechanization Scheme is to alleviate the manual labour burden on farmers while also addressing labour shortages in rural areas. By introducing mechanized tools such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems, the scheme enables farmers to accomplish tasks more quickly and with greater precision. This not only boosts agricultural output but also frees up valuable time and resources that farmers can allocate to other aspects of their livelihoods or invest in further agricultural development.
